Terms of service
Last updated: 21 April 2026
These terms govern the use of aerdefence.ie and any services AerDefence Ltd ("AerDefence", "we", "us") provides under a separate commercial agreement. Where a signed services agreement exists with a customer, that agreement prevails over these website terms for matters relating to the deployment.
1. About us
AerDefence Ltd is a private company limited by shares, registered in Ireland (registration number 000000), with its registered office in Dublin, Ireland.
2. Acceptable use of this website
You may browse, link to, and cite content on aerdefence.ie for non-commercial review or journalistic purposes. You may not scrape, mirror, or republish the contents of this site without written permission. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure.
3. Service description
Our detection service receives signals broadcast by drones and surfaces them to authorised operators via the AerDefence Console. The service does not intercept, jam, or otherwise interfere with drones or their operators. The service is provided on a best-effort basis and is subject to the availability of the underlying broadcast standards.
4. Limitations
Detection depends on the drone emitting a detectable signal. Drones that do not, including home-built craft and some older commercial drones, will not be surfaced. Detection range is subject to line-of-sight and local radio-frequency conditions. No detection service, including ours, can guarantee that every overhead drone will be identified.
5. Intellectual property
All content on aerdefence.ie, including text, images, logos, and the AerDefence brand mark, is the property of AerDefence Ltd or its licensors. The AerDefence Console is licensed, not sold, to customers under the terms of their services agreement.
6. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, our liability for use of the website is limited. Liability arising from the detection service is governed by the services agreement. We do not exclude or limit liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
