Before the event we map the site, agree the flight areas and altitudes, and clear the operation with the IAA.

Our crew arrives ahead of the gates opening, briefs event control, and gets the drones in the air.

Every flight operates under the appropriate IAA authorisation for the site and the crowd below.
The footage stays yours
Footage belongs to you and the event. It is shared with event control and An Garda Síochána as agreed, and nowhere else.
Crowd privacy respected
We monitor movement and density, not individuals. Footage is handled under GDPR and deleted to an agreed schedule.
Trained, insured crews
Flights are run by qualified pilots with full operational insurance and a safety plan for flying above people.

Aerdefence Monitor operates under IAA authorisation for flights over people and populated areas, arranged for each event and site. We handle the paperwork and coordinate with the venue and An Garda Síochána so the operation is cleared before the gates open.
Footage belongs to you and the event organiser. It is shared only with event control and An Garda Síochána as agreed, handled under GDPR, and retained to a schedule you set.
On the day
A qualified pilot-in-command is responsible for every flight, with a second crew member on comms to event control. Operations pause or land immediately on request.

What can the drones actually see?
Crowd density and movement, queue build-up at gates, traffic on the approach roads, and car park capacity. Enough for control to make decisions, not to identify individuals.
Who gets the live feed?
The event control room and An Garda Síochána, as agreed before the event. Access is set up for the people who need it.
Do you fly over the crowd?
Yes, under the appropriate IAA authorisation for flights over people, with a safety plan for the site.
What happens in bad weather?
Flights operate in most conditions. If wind or visibility make it unsafe, the crew lands and keeps your team informed.
How long can you keep a drone in the air?
Crews fly in rotation, so there is continuous cover for as long as the event needs it.
Do you record, or just stream live?
Both. You get the live feed on the day and the recorded footage afterwards.
Who owns the footage?
You and the event organiser. It is shared only as agreed and handled under GDPR.
Can you work alongside our CCTV and control room?
Yes. The aerial feed is designed to sit beside your existing control-room setup, not replace it.
Do we need to arrange anything with the IAA?
No. Aerdefence arranges the flight authorisations for the event.
How far in advance do you need to plan?
The earlier the better for larger events, so we can map the site and clear the flights. We can also support at shorter notice.
